Cub Scout Pack 583 and Troop 17 open house tonight

An open house will be held tonight by the Cub Scout Pack 583 and Troop 17. The event, which will showcase what types of things the scouts do, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the West Twin Park, 1100 Superior St. Information on joining any of the scouting organizations will be available. Kendall Young Library hosts job fair today

Iowa Works will be conducting a job fair at the Kendall Young Library today. This will run from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The fair will be held in the meeting room in the lower level of the Kendall Young Library, 1201 Willson Ave. Multiple employers will be present to help explore the jobs and careers that are available. The Planning and Zoning board will meet tonight

The Planning and Zoning board meets tonight at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 400 Second St. The agenda includes discussions and recommendations on a proposed mobile food unit ordinance and animal ordinance.There will also be a discussion on a proposed amendment to the city ordinances on signs and definitions. There will be a review and recommendation concerning conformity with the city development plan for an amendment to the Riverview/Central Business District Urban renewal plan boundary.

WCHS Senior Awards Night is tonight

The Webster City High School will have its annual Senior Awards night this evening at the Webster City High School, 1001 Lynx Ave. The presentations begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Prem Sahai Auditorium. Various awards and scholarships will be the focus of the students. Representatives of community organizations and scholarship committees will be present to recognize and honor selected students.
