The Planning and Zoning board will meet tonight

The Planning and Zoning board meets tonight at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 400 Second St. The agenda includes discussions and recommendations on a proposed mobile food unit ordinance and animal ordinance.There will also be a discussion on a proposed amendment to the city ordinances on signs and definitions. There will be a review and recommendation concerning conformity with the city development plan for an amendment to the Riverview/Central Business District Urban renewal plan boundary.

WCHS Senior Awards Night is tonight

The Webster City High School will have its annual Senior Awards night this evening at the Webster City High School, 1001 Lynx Ave. The presentations begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Prem Sahai Auditorium. Various awards and scholarships will be the focus of the students. Representatives of community organizations and scholarship committees will be present to recognize and honor selected students.

Hotel Motel tax board meeting today

The Hotel Motel tax board will meet at 5:15 p.m. today in the City Hall conference room, 400 Second St. in Webster City. The discussion will involve the 2026 application process and the development of the schedule of events for 2026.

'Plant a Seed, Read' is theme for Library Summer Reading program

Kendall Young Library will be celebrating the coming of summer with a Family Summer Kickoff Party on the lawn. We will gather for live music and food from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on May 31. This fun family event will offer games, face painting and a balloon artist. Bring a lawn chair and the whole family for this great event which is sponsored by Fareway Meat & Grocery. Coffee & Create continues at Legacy Learning

Coffee & Create is an ongoing community art space at Legacy Learning Boone River Valley — a welcoming place to gather, create, relax, and connect.
