Karl King Concert will highlight Father's Day

The summer concerts by the Karl L. King Municipal Band continue on Sunday evening, June 21, starting at 7:30 p.m. There is no admission charge, courtesy of the City of Fort Dodge. These concerts are held at the Karl L. King Band Shell in Oleson Park. Dan Cassady returns to the podium this week as Conductor. Paul Bloomquist will return as announcer. First Congregational Church United Church of Christ invites the community to its annual Brownie Sundae Drive-Thru, to be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at 1000 Willson Ave. Freewill donations for the sundaes will benefit local food pantries. The American Legion Post 191 will conduct a ceremonial retirement of unserviceable U.S. flags at 4 p.m. Friday. Flags may be brought to the American Legion at 726 Second St., Webster City, today, or to the ceremony site by 3:30 p.m. on Friday. This event is held annually as part of the observance for Flag Day.
