Kendall Young Library will host adult programs in July

Kendall Young Library will be having adult programs throughout the month of July. Adult Summer Reading Program — Adults are invited to join in a variety of “Level Up at your Library” summer programs. There is an adult reading challenge, voting for a Mini Art Show, and a scavenger hunt throughout the library still available throughout July. Kendall Young Library will be closed for events in July

Kendall Young Library will be closed two occasions throughout the month of July. On July 4 and 5 Kendall Young Library will be closed for the Fourth of July holiday. On July 22 Kendall Young Library will be closing at 5 p.m. for the Hamilton County Fair Parade.

Abigail Cousins awarded degree from UA

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — Abigail Cousins. of Blairsburg, has received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama. UA awarded more than 6,000 degrees during its spring commencement ceremonies.

Local college graduates earn diverse degrees

CEDAR RAPIDS — Kyle Chieng was among a group of exceptional graduates this past year at Coe College. Chieng, of Webster City, was awarded a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Music Education. SEWARD, Neb. — Concordia University, Nebraska, awarded undergraduate and graduate degrees to more than 430 graduates in May. That included: Emma Shane, of Webster City, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Education.

Area students are on SNHU President’s List

Southern New Hampshire University named the following local students to the Spring 2025 President's List. The spring terms run from January to May. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer. Included are: Lindsay Kroeger, of Radcliffe; Adam Titus, of Jewell.

Kendall Young Library’s summer program invites patrons to ‘Level Up’

Kendall Young Library patrons are invited to participate in its Summer Library Program — “Level Up at Your Library.” The summer will feature events, contests and activities that are geared for each age group: children, teens and adults.
