Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” will come to life on the Webster City Community Theatre stage this weekend. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. June 26 and 27, and 2 p.m. June 27 and 28. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children aged 18 and younger. Tickets may be purchased online at wccommtheatre.ludus.com. CLARION — “Coop,” a new play by Mary Swander, will be performed at the Clarion Public Library on Friday afternoon. The play begins at 1 p.m. at the library, 302 N. Main St., in Clarion. “Coop” is produced by Swander Woman Productions, a theatre company led by Swander. This is one of a series of award-winning plays she created. She is also an author, past Poet Laureate of Iowa and founder of Ag Arts.
The community, business leaders, elected officials, and regional partners are invited to attend a ribbon cutting for the Gateway Industrial Park — a major milestone in Webster City’s economic development efforts. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Briggs Woods Conference Center, 2501 Briggs Woods Trail, Those planning to attend are encouraged to RSVP in advance.
Envision Stanhope is supporting the Wednesday Night in the Park, with Stanhope State University as its sponsor. Music begins at 5 p.m., food is served at 5:30 p.m., all for a freewill donation. Tee-ball and bingo finish the night.
Windsor Manor in Webster City, a local senior living community, will host a special event tomorrow: “Hope Takes Flight.” Windsor Manor residents, families, staff members, and the broader community will come together for an evening of remembrance, hope, and togetherness as they raise awareness and support for those affected by Alzheimer’s. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Windsor Manor community, 1401 Wall St. in Webster City. Among the highlights will be an annual butterfly release at 4:45 p.m.
