Free summer lunch program is weekly

Free summer lunches are available each Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the summer at the West Twin Parks from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The park is located at 1100 Superior St. The meals are provided by local churches who are part of the Webster City Ministerial Association.

20th annual car show in Kamrar Sunday

The 20th annual Car Show will be held from noon to 3 p.m. in Kamrar. This free event will have free door prizes and 31 awards presented. Sponsored by Karl-Webster City, Philbrook Auto and Trampel Farms, the event starts at noon, with registration from 9 a.m. to noon. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Webster City hotel/motel tax grant applications available July 1

The Webster City Hotel/Motel Tax Board announced that applications are now being accepted for Round 29 of the Hotel/Motel Tax Grant Program. These grants are intended to support projects and events that promote tourism and attract visitors to Webster City. Please note that a mandatory grant training session will be held on at 6 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall. Last weekend for ‘Little Mermaid Jr.’

Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” will come to life on the Webster City Community Theatre stage this weekend. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. today and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children aged 18 and younger. Tickets may be purchased online at wccommtheatre.ludus.com. Museums open this weekend

The Depot Museum at the Wilson Brewer Park will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. today and Saturday. This is located at 220 Ohio St. The Jane Young House clothing exhibit will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is located at 629 Elm St.

Jane Young House open this Saturday

The Webster City Women’s Club invites you to the Jane Young House, 629 Elm St, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday to view their new clothing exhibit and house. The clothing exhibit highlights fashions from 1947, Happy Birthday America, and a collection of clothing from former and current retail stores in Webster City. Another room is dedicated to the history of the Women’s Club. There is a lot of history and a beautiful house to view. A freewill donation is appreciated and the Jane Young House is handicapped accessible.
