Donation to Meals on Wheels

Doug Follmann, Town & Country Insurance Agency Manager presented a check to Mary Long, secretary-treasurer of the Webster City Meals on Wheels program in the amount of $250.

New Naval aviator

1st Lt. Christopher G.A. Tasler, USMC, from Webster City, was winged an unrestricted Naval Aviator on Aug. 9, 2019. He was designated as Naval Aviator #34911 and will be heading off to Miramar, California to fly the CH-53E. Tasler is pictured center with family members.

Mobile pantry set for St.Thomas Tuesday afternoon

The mobile food pantry, a program of the Food Bank of Iowa, will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20 at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Center from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Bring bags or boxes to carry home food.

Ice cream social to be held Aug. 23

STRATFORD — McGuire Bend UB church Annual Ice Cream Social will be held on Friday Aug. 23 at the Stratford City Park. Serving will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with beefburgers, chips, pie and ice cream. A free will offering will be taken. The public is welcome.

Tour de Webster returns Aug. 25
