Blairsburg Opera House jam session set for tonight
BLAIRSBURG —The Blairsburg Opera House Jam session will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the opera house. Musicians, dancers and listeners are invited to attend.
Kendall Young Library starts new hours beginning Monday
Beginning Monday, Kendall Young Library will have new hours of operations. This is being done to align library services with community usage patterns and patron needs. The updated hours will be: Monday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday: 10 a.m. to 7p.m. Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday: Closed For more information about the Kendall Young Library contact the library at 515-832-9100.
Coffee and Create Tuesday – Friday at Legacy Learning Boone River Valley
From Tuesday through Friday each week, the Legacy Learning Art Studio offers Coffee and Create from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Located at 713 Seneca St., in Webster City, this event offers a chance to become creative, make new friends, and enjoy a good cup of coffee to start the day. Kendall Young Library patrons can participate in the summer library program, the theme which is “Plant a Seed, Read”. There will be events, contests, and activities that are geared for each age group: children, teens, and adults. SALT meeting next Thursday features WC2DC travel program
The June Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) meeting will be held beginning at 9 a.m. June 4 at the Van Diest Medical Center Clinic Board Room, 2350 Hospital Drive in Webster City. Please enter through the exterior door. Refreshments will be served, and Van Diest Medical Center personnel will provide free blood pressure checks. Road to be closed during bridge replacement in southern Hamilton County
On Friday, Ubben Avenue, or Hamilton County Road R61, will be closed to through traffic from Hamilton County Road D65 (380th Street) north to Iowa Highway 175 (330th Street) for a bridge replacement project, 1.5 miles south of Highway 175. Through traffic is expected to use the signed detour route. The closure is expected to last for about five to six weeks.
