The Stanhope Lions Club holds a pancake supper each spring, with the proceeds going to a local cause or group. This year the Stanhope Fire Department was selected to be the beneficiary of the funds raised in April. When the Lions met Monday evening, President Troy Johnson, left, presented a check for $800 to Fire Chief Mike Hanson. Plans are for the donation to be used for turn out gear for the volunteer firemen.
