Ed Sadler, city manager for Webster City, is one of five finalists for the Indianola City Manager position.

According to the Indianola Record-Herald, the five candidates were in Indianola over the weekend to interview for the position. Others under consideration include Ryan Waller, assistant county administrator for Lake County, Illinois; Luke Nelson, city administrator of Boone; Elizabeth Hansen, city administrator of Nevada and David Plyman, city manager of Rochelle, Illinois.

According to newspaper accounts, the Indianola City Council was scheduled to meet Monday night in closed session, but Mayor Kelly Shaw said it was unlikely an offer would be made public at that time.
