CEDAR FALLS — Coming off a 6-5 season, the Northern Iowa football team revealed their 2024 early signing day class here on Wednesday.

Two are transfers, including one from Iowa Central in Kolben Miller, who earned all-conference and all-region honors for the Tritons. Miller will play linebacker, along with fellow transfer Naahlyee Bryant, who saw action in 21 games for Western Michigan over the past two seasons.

Among those who signed from within the state’s borders include Sioux City North’s Ethan Dallen, Titus Cram of Bondurant-Farrar, Tono Cornell out of Iowa City High, Connor Kayser from Ankeny, Karson Elwood of Treynor, Aidan Salow from Maquoketa Valley, Franz Reisz of Harlan, Ben Gordon from Van Meter, Parker Thomas of Sheldon, Landen Kuennen of Waukee Northwest, Brady McDonald of Independence, Brock Carpenter of Western Dubuque and Kaden Amigon of Columbus.

Cale McThenia was an all-state selection in Illinois after throwing for over 3,100 yards with 40 touchdowns. He completed 72 percent of his passes for Marian Central Catholic, which comes in Class 2A.

Former Fort Dodge Senior High all-stater Tysen Kershaw and ex-Humboldt standout Ben Kuehnast are both on the current UNI roster. Kershaw, a wide receiver, missed this past season with a leg injury and is expected to be back at full strength in 2024.
