Join the Webster City Community Theatre for a Readers Theatre preview of The Roommate by Jen Silverman.’
This will be held on Sunday, at 3 p.m. at Webster City Community Theatre,located at 1001 Willson Avenue in Webster City.
Whether you enjoy performing on stage, working behind the scenes or simply reading a fun script, all are welcome to join in the fun and laughter. Bring a snack to share and your own beverage, settle in and enjoy an afternoon of theatre.
Director Anne Blankenship will lead the reading of this funny, surprising and unconventional story of friendship and self-discovery.
The Roommate centers on Sharon, a recently divorced woman living a quiet life in Iowa who decides to take in a roommate. Enter Robyn, a mysterious woman from the Bronx with a very different past--and a few secrets. As the two women get to know one another, Robyn's adventurous spirit begins to awaken something in Sharon, leading both women in directions neither expected.
The preview reading is a great opportunity to hear the play, meet the director and learn more about the upcoming production.
Auditions will be held Sunday and Monday, Sept. 20 and 21 at 6 p.m. at WCCT.
Performances are scheduled for Nov. 5, 6, 7 and 8.
