Bell's Mill Park to celebrate 100 years on August 1

Mark your calendars to celebrate the 100th year since the donation of land to create the Bell's Mill park.

The park will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Activities will be going on throughout the day along with a corn hole tournament and music. The park has camping facilities canoeing and kayaking on the Boone River, and an open air shelter available.

At 2 p.m. a history of the park will be presented.

The park is located at 3100 Bell's Mill Road, located approximately six miles north and east of Stratford.

Market Nights return on Thursday

Market Nights will return on Thursday, July 30, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in downtown Webster City with your favorite vendors, food trucks, live music, family activities, and community fun.

Back 40 Co. and Empower Nutrition host Vendor Fair fundraiser to benefit the Cat Hut

Two Webster City businesses are joining together to raise money for the Cat Hut on Saturday, August 1. The event will be held at Empower Nutrition located at 806 Seneca St. in Webster City.

This event is seeking local makers and small businesses who will be on their site from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, with vendors asked to make a donation of their choice to the Cat Hut. It can be a portion of sales, an item or other contribution.

Adult DIY -- Learn To Letter

The Adult DIY for July will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. today in the meeting room of the Kendall Young Library, 1201 Willson Ave. Today’s craft is Learn the Basics of Lettering. Supplies will be provided.
