Lynx earn win at Roland-Story Classic

ROLAND — The Webster City softball team went 1-1 in action here Saturday at the Roland-Story Classic.
After picking up a 4-1 victory vs. Glenwood, the Lynx fell to Bondurant-Farrar, 9-1.
Cloe Savitski had a triple while Morgan Hackbarth, Breanna Bahrenfuss and Lydia VanDeer each drove in runs for Webster City. Jakaela Cherry, Hackbarth, Hailey Brim and VanDeer all scored.
Briley VanDeer earned the win, going two-plus with two strikeouts inside the circle.
In the loss to Bondurant-Farrar, Lydia VanDeer drove in Josslyn Carden for the lone run. Morgan Tempel, Carden, Hackbarth, Hayden McCoy and Lydia VanDeer all had hits.
The Lynx host Hampton-Dumont/CAL on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. in North Central Conference play.
