ISU Alumni Club of Hamilton County awards scholarships to area seniors, college students

The Iowa State University (ISU) Alumni Club of Hamilton County annually offers scholarship awards to individuals who live in or attend school in Hamilton County, and who are planning to or currently attend school at Iowa State University.

Recipients are selected based on a submission of application, financial need, academic achievement, and an interview process.

The amount awarded each year is entirely supported by the financial generosity of Hamilton County alumni members, as well as the friends and fans of ISU.

In the Wednesday news release, the ISU Alumni Club shared that the committee was able to award 17 scholarships this year, thanks to the tremendous amount of support from the above mentioned contributors.

Three South Hamilton Seniors from the Class of 2023 were presented awards at their Senior Award Recognition Night, which was held on Wednesday.

They include John Moline, Elijah Potter, and Emily Waugh. Moline, Potter and Waugh each received $1,000 scholarships.

Webster City High School Seniors from the Class of 2023 that received ISU Alumni Scholarships on Wednesday were Jayce Neuroth, Jack Mason, Alley Odland, Shelby Brim, Abby Gallentine and Aiden Feltz.

Feltz was awarded $1,500, while Brim, Gallentine and Odland received $1,000 each. Mason was given $750 and Neuroth was awarded $500.

The additional scholarship recipients that will either be transferring into Iowa State or are currently attending Iowa State include Katie Casady, Paige Evans, Clay Willadsen, Thad Zimmerman, Jayce Abens, Jillian Woodall, Jessica Woodall, and Beau Klaver.

Those above listed individuals will be receiving their certificates later this month.
