A massive fire destroyed the QC Supply Building at 1517 Desota St. in Ellsworth Monday night. Five area fire departments responded to the call, as well as the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and EJS Police Department.
Five area fire departments responded to a fire in Ellsworth that destroyed a building Monday night.
The initial caller said the building smoke coming from it, but within minutes the building was in flames, according to Tim Zahn, Hamilton County Emergency Manangement Coordinator.
Units from Ellsworth, Jewell, Webster City, Williams and Radcliffe battled the blaze at the QC Supply Building, 1517 Desota St. Officials said there were also antique cars inside the building that were destroyed. The building was a deemed a total loss. There were no injuries.
Ellsworth/Jewell/Stanhope Police and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department secured the perimeter.
