Lynx prevail in NCC girls dual

WEBSTER CITY — The Webster City girls golf team picked up a home victory on Thursday. The Lynx (221) defeated St. Edmond (292) in North Central Conference action. Webster City’s Alleyna Dawson and Mylie Keller both shot 51s. Dawson earned medalist honors from the scorecard. Also competing for the Lynx was Kenley Koop (59), Ellie Peterson (60), Haydin Sealine (60) and Sophie Dinsdale (62). Nora Lee had the best score for the Gaels, shooting a 59. Irelyn Derrig (74) and Azalya Hill (77) were next in line. The Lynx are at Iowa Falls-Alden on Tuesday.

ALLEMAN — The Webster City boys track and field team was in action here Tuesday at a meet hosted by North Polk. Ballard finished first, with the Lynx placing fourth behind the Comets and Johnston. Justin Callahan was involved in three of the four first-place finishes for Webster City, winning the 400 in 51.69 and the 400 hurdles in 57.04.
