AMES — The Iowa State football team opened spring practice for the upcoming season here on Tuesday, as they will have 15 practice sessions before breaking camp until later in the year. Three former area standouts are listed on the spring roster in Alex Manske, Caden Matson and Tyler Miller. McKinney offering offseason basketball workouts

Taylor McKinney will once again be offering offseason basketball workouts this summer. Boys and girls entering seventh and eighth grade in 2025-26 can sign up for the six-week camp now. Cost is $90 per athlete for all 12 sessions or $10 per session with a t-shirt included. The offensive skills workouts will begin June 17 and be held in the Webster City High School Competition Gym from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. each Tuesday and Thursday.
