Down by just two at the break, the Lynx had trouble stopping the Lions in the third quarter, falling 55-31. Lynx boys fall to Lions

CLEAR LAKE — The Webster City boys had no answer for top-ranked (Class 3A) Clear Lake here Tuesday night, falling 75-33. The Lions went on a 24-8 run in the opening quarter, following that up with a 24-3 second quarter of play to put the Lynx away early. STORY CITY — The Webster City wrestling team competed in the Norsemen Duals on Saturday. The Lynx went 2-2 and placed fifth. Hampton-Dumont/CAL was the team champion in the eight team field. The Lynx beat Central Decatur, 41-35, for fifth. Webster City also topped Saydel (42-17). They lost to Estherville-Lincoln Central (71-6) and West Marshall (44-26). Against Central Decatur, the score was tied at 35 going into the 144 pound match. Ridge Berninghaus pinned Beau Waugh in 3:05 to seal the victory.
