IOWA FALLS — The Webster City girls golf team gained some momentum for the upcoming North Central Conference meet here Tuesday. The Lynx fired their low round of the year, shooting 219 to finish behind Algona and Iowa Falls-Alden at Meadow Hills Golf Course. Alleyna Dawson paced Webster City with a 50 followed by a 55 from Kenley Koop. The South Hamilton track and field teams competed here Monday night at the North Polk co-ed meet. The Hawk boys finished fourth overall, while the girls were fifth. PCM won the boys team title and the host Comets claimed gold for the girls. Kolby Hodnefield had a hand in all three winning performances for South Hamilton, as he was first in both the 200 and 400. The Webster City boys and girls track teams will take part in the North Central Conference meet on Thursday. The boys head to Clear Lake, with the girls’ meet in Iowa Falls. Action begins at 5 p.m. Joining the Lynx will be Algona, Clarion-Goldfield/Dows, Hampton-Dumont/CAL, Humboldt, Iowa Falls-Alden, Clear Lake and St. Edmond. The Lynx placed fourth overall behind Grundy Center, Humboldt and host Iowa Falls-Alden at the Cadet Relays. Both the sprint medley and distance medley relays took home second place finishes, as Kali Hartnett, Cloe Savitski and Isabel Grossoehme ran on each quartet.
