MARSHALLTOWN — The Webster City cross country teams got the season off and running here on Thursday at the Marshalltown Early Bird. The Lynx boys placed sixth overall. Aiden Wardell and Justin Callahan placed inside the Top-20. Izzy Grossoehme led the WCHS girls with a Top-10 finish. After falling in straight sets to both seventh-ranked (Class 3A) Roland-Story and Webster City, the Hawks picked up a sweep vs. Central Springs. After picking up wins over Central Springs and South Hamilton, the Lynx dropped a tight two-setter to No. 7 (Class 3A) Roland-Story.
