Titles on the line at Hamilton Co. Speedway

Season championships will be handed out this Saturday at Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway. The final night of weekly point races will take place on the dirt track. There will be no heat races, as gates open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are set for 6:45 p.m. with racing action to follow. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors (62-and-over) and $10 for juniors. Anyone 10-and-under is free. Pit passes are $40 for adults and $20 for children 5-to-10 years old. BOONE - The Webster City girls tennis team took part in the Boone Invitational here this past Friday, placing fourth overall. The host Toreadors racked up 175 points to finish first, as Council Bluffs St. Albert was second and Des Moines Lincoln third. The Lynx were just six points back of the Railsplitters. IOWA FALLS - The Webster City girls tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Iowa Falls-Alden in North Central Conference action this week. Natalie Segar, Olivia Bergman and Haylee Ades each scored four points in their singles matches to eight, as Ava Otteros took three and Chloe Bakken two. In doubles, Sebert and Bergman fell at the No. 2 position, 8-4. HUXLEY - The Webster City girls tennis team opened up the season with a pair of duals against Ballard and Dike-New Hartford last Friday. The Lynx fell to the Bombers, 9-0, and to the Wolverines, 9-0.
