Webster City boys fare well at North Polk

ALLEMAN — The Webster City boys track and field team was in action here Tuesday at a meet hosted by North Polk. Ballard finished first, with the Lynx placing fourth behind the Comets and Johnston. Justin Callahan was involved in three of the four first-place finishes for Webster City, winning the 400 in 51.69 and the 400 hurdles in 57.04. The Webster City girls golf team came up short here Tuesday in dual action, falling to Greene County, 214-231. Maya Telleen of Greene County earned medalist honors, firing a round of 50. Teammate Alivia Cornell and Maggie Mikkelsen tied for second with 54s. The Webster City boys tennis team scored a 7-2 victory over St. Edmond here last Thursday evening. The Lynx won all seven contested matches, as the Gaels picked up two forfeit victories.
