The Webster City softball team dropped a tight 7-5 decision here Monday night to North Central Conference rival Humboldt in eight innings. After taking an early 4-1 lead, the Lynx were unable to keep the Wildcats off the scoreboard in the fifth and eighth innings. Humboldt countered to grake a 5-4 advantage with a four-run fifth, but Webster City quickly responded in the bottom of the sixth to tie it.
