The Webster City softball team dropped a tight 7-5 decision here Monday night to North Central Conference rival Humboldt in eight innings. After taking an early 4-1 lead, the Lynx were unable to keep the Wildcats off the scoreboard in the fifth and eighth innings. Humboldt countered to grake a 5-4 advantage with a four-run fifth, but Webster City quickly responded in the bottom of the sixth to tie it. The Webster City Rampage Baseball Club will have its first round of player evaluations for the upcoming season on Tuesday, June 24, at Nokomis Field. Tryouts are open to all boys ages 8-13 interested in competing for Rampage in the 2026 season.
