South Hamilton competes in its own Jim Klein Invitational

JEWELL — The South Hamilton cross country team hosted the annual Jim Klein Invitational here last Thursday at Jewell Golf and Country. Jesus Garcia and Hayden Hill both earned Top-10 finishes to lead the Hawks, who were 10th overall. Garcia, a junior, clocked a time of 17:54.79 to place eighth overall. The Hawks took an early lead and erased a 15-point deficit in the third, going back up in the fourth, 36-29. HAMPTON — Justin Callahan sprinted to a race title and the Webster City boys cross country team followed last Thursday at the Bulldog Invitational. Callahan clocked a winning time of 17:44 to best the field by over 16 seconds, leading the Lynx to team gold in the process over West Fork.
