GILBERT — The Webster City cross country team ended the season here Wednesday at a Class 3A state qualifier. The Lynx were led by Justin Callahan, as he placed 19th overall. Callahan had a time of 16:53, helping Webster City finish eighth overall. The Top-3 teams and first 15 individuals earned bids to the state cross country meet, which takes place Friday, Oct. 31 in Fort Dodge from Lakeside Golf Course at Kennedy Park. ALGONA — The Webster City Middle School cross country team swept titles recently at the North Central Conference meet. The Lynx boys had 53 points to edge Iowa Falls-Alden by two. The Webster City girls (43 points) topped Algona (51) for the championship.
