Junior Jaylyn Bahrenfuss recorded 12 kills, 12 assists and four blocks for Webster City against the Comets (8-11). Wright (eight kills), Evie Davis (eight), Avery Poppen (seven) and Allison Arends (seven) also helped lead the balanced offensive attack.
Tessa Hansen tallied 27 digs, and Elsie Pruismann contributed 16.
Wright finished with three ace serves. Briley VanDeer was a perfect 26 of 26 from the service line, while Hansen and Wright were both 18-for-19.
“The girls came out strong and really dominated in sets one, three and four,” WCHS head coach Jess Howard said. “They did a great job of finding their rhythm and playing fast and consistent. I thought the setters did a really good job of distributing the ball evenly and keying in on hitters that were on throughout the night.
“It was great to see all seniors have a part in the win. Their leadership throughout the season has helped to keep the team together and improved all season long. Their leadership and abilities have been integral pieces to the continued improvement of Lynx volleyball.”
Wright, Poppen, Amanda Lahr, Lovie Pruismann, Charlee Olson, Hayden McCoy and Kaitlyn Winkler were the seniors recognized.
Webster City returns to action against Eagle Grove (7:15 p.m.) and St. Edmond (8:25) on Tuesday at Hampton-Dumont/CAL as part of a quadrangular.
