MANSON – The South Hamilton football team wrapped up the regular season with a 42-20 loss to Manson Northwest Webster here Friday night.
Reggie Williams found the end zone three times, rushing for 75 yards on 22 carries, as Garrett Johnson threw for 80 yards. Kash Northrop caught a 51-yard pass from Johnson and Williams had a 29-yard reception.
Kaden Dean ran for 51 yards and Northrop added 36 on the ground.
"I was proud of how the boys fought the entire game and never gave up," South Hamilton head coach Cole Billerbeck said. "That's the mentality they've had all season. They could have folded at any point this season, but they continued to fight.
"It really showed at the end of the first half when Manson scored with 30 seconds left in the half and the boys responded with a quick touchdown with two seconds left. The scoreboard might not reflect it, but the boys gave everything they had."
On defense, Ben Swenson recorded seven tackles with 1.5 for loss, Kyler Ziesman had six with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, and Dean recovered a fumble and picked off a pass.
The game marked the final one for South Hamilton seniors Dean, John Sandgren, Ryan Oskvig, Marlon Gromnitza, Maddux Becker, Davien Henderson, Spencer Davis and Lyndon Johnson.
