The Webster City girls tennis team earned a 9-0 victory over Hampton-Dumont/CAL here last Thursday.

The Lynx got singles wins from Natalie Segar, Gabbie Sebert, Chloe Bakken, Abby Heckert, Olivia Bergman and Hayee Ades. All six scored straight-set triumphs.

Ades did not drop a game in her singles match, nor in doubles with Ava Otteros.

Segar and Sebert, along with Bakken and Bergman, scored the other two match points in doubles.

"I thought we started out a little sluggish in this one in most of the matches," WCHS head coach Mark Fisher said. "But we were able to make shots when we needed to and get into a groove.

"This has been a group full of girls that have worked so hard and brought so much to this tennis program."

The Lynx honored their 10 seniors prior to the dual.

"I am so proud of every single one of them," Fisher said. "It's been an absolute joy to coach all of them."

Junior varsity winners for the Lynx were Elizabeth Van Demark, Brielle Burgin, Paisyn Bare and Lizzie Westrum.

Webster City heads to Fort Dodge on Wednesday for the North Central Conference Tournament.
