The district football schedule begins for Webster City here Friday night with a North Central Conference rival.
The Lynx welcome Humboldt for a Class 3A, District 1 contest. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Webster City (0-4 overall, 0-0 in district) dropped a 27-13 contest to Gilbert last Friday night. The Lynx have scored 27 points over their last two games after failing to record a touchdown in the first two.
The ground attack has gotten on track for Webster City, as Kaleb Hansen is up to 332 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Coyce Bertran has 164 and Grayson Simonton 75.
Grant Arends anchors the defense with 19 tackles, including 4.5 for loss, as Boston Farley has 17. Israel Torres has an interception. Four others have recovered a fumble, with Arends forcing three.
Humboldt (0-4, 0-0) fell to Ballard last Friday, 14-7, after dropping games to Carroll, Clear Lake and Spencer. Cash McIntire leads the Wildcats with 275 yards rushing. Quarterback Caden Fredin has thrown for 160 and run for 145 with two scores.
Dane Clark, the son of former Iowa and NFL star Dallas Clark, leads the way with 58 yards receiving on five catches. The defense has recovered four fumbles, with Braden Downs and Broedy Hendricks recording over 25 tackles each.
The Lynx lead the series 11-5 since 2010, including a 21-14 victory last year. They have split the last eight overall.
