JEWELL – Win No. 1 for South Hamilton football head coach Cole Billerbeck was one to be remembered.
Now, Billerbeck and the Hawks will chase a second victory on Friday against Southeast Valley.

After falling to St. Ansgar in the season opener, South Hamilton (1-1 overall) bounced back with a dominating 52-0 victory over Panorama. Wyatt Gelder needed just 10 carries to rack up 234 yards rushing and four touchdowns.
Maddux Becker and Kash Northrop each added rushing scores, with Kaden Dean returning an interception for another TD.
The Hawks did not attempt a pass, rushing 34 times for 438 yards. Northrop had 98 and Dean 63 behind Gelder's monster game.
Gelder has 303 yards rushing and five touchdowns on the season. Northrop has 117 yards rushing, and Dean has 98.
On defense, Reggie Williams is the leading tackler, followed by Dean, Ryan Oskvig, Garret Rogers and Spencer Davis.
The Jaguars (2-0) have looked like a Top-10 squad so far, besting Emmetsburg, 33-6, and Manson Northwest Webster, 20-6. Southeast Valley has a balanced offense, throwing for 314 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 354 and four scores.
Casey Hanson has completed 12 of 17 passes for 192 and three TDs while rushing for 186 yards. Mason Bahr is 9-for-18 for 122 with 58 yards on the ground.
Both Logan Jaeschke and Bryce Harrison have over 100 yards receiving for the Jaguars.
