South Hamilton earns two wins

JEWELL – The South Hamilton volleyball team earned a pair of wins on the court this past Saturday.
The Hawks picked up victories over Eagle Grove and Nashua-Plainfield at the Clarion-Goldfield/Dows Invitational.
South Hamilton (3-7 overall) swept both teams while pushing North Butler and the host Cowgirls to a third and deciding set at the invite.
Tessa Skartvedt has a team-high 66 kills, with Stella Martensen, Adelyn Trask and Riah Van De Pol each recording 19. Aliya Erickson has been directing the offense, recording 58 assists, with Emma Ammerman sitting at 31 and Emma Lammers 16.
Lammers has 67 digs to lead the Hawks, as Skartvedt and Erickson each have 36. Cambrie Sloan has a team-best 13 total blocks.
Skartvedt leads with 14 aces, Lammers has missed just one serve on 56 attempts while Sloan is serving at over 91 percent.
South Hamilton heads to the South Central Calhoun Early Bird Tournament on Saturday. Joining them in the field will be the host Titans, Audubon, Manson Northwest Webster, Perry, Pocahontas Area and Spencer.
