ZEARING – Jesus Garcia and Hayden Hill recorded Top-5 finishes here at the Colo-Nesco Cross Country Invitational for South Hamilton.
Garcia placed third overall in 17:07, as Hill was fifth in 17:45.
Overall, the Hawks placed second to Ankeny Christian, which featured race winner Zachary Gardner.
Jackson Olmstead finished 11th in 18:01, as Jacob Lutjen was 17th and John Sandgren finished 39th.
South Hamilton placed seventh in the girls team standings, led by Jillian Bentley, as the junior was 19th in 23:40. Cici Herrick was 21st in 24:06, followed by Lexi Mathes in 41st, Rosemary Chamness in 42nd and Laurel Johnson in 51st.
Up next for the Hawks will be the West Marshall Invitational on Tuesday at Lincoln Valley Golf in State Center.
