IOWA FALLS – The Webster City football team hits the ground running here on Friday night against North Central Conference rival Iowa Falls-Alden.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. from Cadet Field.
Head coach Andy Brim’s Lynx have won each of the last eight meetings vs. IF-A, including a 42-8 rout in 2025. Before that, they had not played since 2016.
Kaleb Hansen returns for Webster City on offense after rushing for over 550 yards with four touchdowns as a junior. Coyce Bertran, Grant Arends, Luke Blake, Israel Torres, John Wilwerding and Zack Lahr are also seniors looking to carry the load and get the Lynx back to the postseason after finishing with three wins.
Bertran had 44 tackles a year ago, with Arends recording 42, including 10 for loss. Arends, Torres, Hansen and Bertran were all-district selections.
Webster City ran for 346 yards last fall against the Cadets, while holding them to under four yards per rush on defense.
For Iowa Falls-Alden, Karsen Kalous returns after throwing for nearly 1,300 yards and rushing for 553 in 2025. He had 12 passing touchdowns and ran in five for scores.
Jack Duit, Kyler Patton and leading receiver Cade Olberding are all back. Olberding caught 42 passes for 657 yards and nine TDs, with Collin Pieper adding 26 receptions for 382 and two TDs.
The last time the Cadets beat Webster City was in 2009 by a final of 21-13.
