DES MOINES — The season came to an end for the South Hamilton softball team here Wednesday night.

The Hawks fell to No. 2 Grand View Christian in a Class 2A regional contest, 10-0 in four innings.

Lillie Ammerman recorded the lone hit for South Hamilton. Allie Neuberger worked a walk against Thunder ace Chloe Cox.

Grand View Christian scored three runs in the first, three in the second and four in the fourth to advance to a regional semifinal contest against either Ogden or Madrid on Friday night.

For the Hawks, they end with 10 wins, giving them a seventh season with double-digit victories since 2017.

South Hamilton graduates seniors Ammerman, Claire Hewitt and Ava Corbin.
