The Webster City baseball team stepped out of North Central Conference play here Wednesday night and earned a 14-2 victory over Forest City in five innings.
An eight-run first gave the Lynx (19-8 overall) full command, and they added six more in the third.
Jaxon Griffith had a grand slam while also scoring twice. Matthew Tesdahl, Carter Mickelson and Kaleb Hansen each had two RBI.
Aiden Hrnicek, Boston Farley, Syrus Willard and Alex Staley all drove in a run, with Braylon Dyvig, Mickelson, Willard and Staley each scoring twice.
Griffith also stole three bases and Mickelson swiped two.
On the mound, Hrnicek pitched all five innings, striking out two while allowing just four hits and one earned run.
Since 2009, Webster City has won eight of the nine matchups with Forest City, including three straight.
The Lynx close out the regular season on Tuesday at Fort Dodge.
