Lynx come up short at Iowa Falls-Alden
IOWA FALLS — The Webster City softball team was unable to get on track here Wednesday night, falling to Iowa Falls-Alden in North Central Conference action, 8-3.
After rallying in the third to tie the game at 2-all, the Lynx were unable to slow the Cadets down, as Iowa Falls-Alden plated two in the fourth, one in the fifth and three more in the sixth.
Amanda Lahr finished 3-for-4 with two RBI and Alivia Burns recorded a triple with two runs scored.
Morgan Hackbarth also drove in a run. Tessa Hansen stole four bases and scored, and Briley VanDeer swiped two bags.
All six runs scored by the Cadets against Webster City pitcher Jakaela Cherry were unearned.
The Lynx conclude the regular season Monday when they host Southeast Valley.
