Live action at Hamilton County Speedway

A busy Hamilton County Fair week saw plenty of live action at Hamilton County Speedway.

There were 66 cars in action for Wacky Wednesday at the Races. Harley Dais of Winona, Minn. won the USRA Modifieds A feature race, with Alex Williamson of Rushford, Minn. taking second.

In the USRA Stock Cars feature, Pat Graham of Ankeny prevailed in a field of 25. Justin Custer of Liberty, Mo. was the runner-up.

Dais became a double winner in the USRA B-Mods event, as he took the feature event ahead of Decorah's Dan Hovden. Jade Lange was the USRA Hobby Stocks champion ahead of Clear Lake's Joshua Monson.

In the Crown Vics feature, Fort Dodge's Nate Hogan was the victor. Jim Hogan, also of Fort Dodge, placed second.

Thursday brought the Hamilton County Fair Thursday Night Thunder. Dais was again the USRA Modifieds A feature champ, ahead of Williamson. The USRA Stock Car winner was Derek Green of Grenada, Minn., as Blairsburg's Scott Olson captured second.

Hovden prevailed in the USRA B-Mods feature. Dais was the runner-up.

In the USRA Hobby Stocks event, Monson crossed in first. Zac Smith of Manly grabbed silver.

The Jerry Goebel State Farm Super Late Models A feature event was won by Webster City's Jason Hahne. Blair Nothdurft of Renner, S.D. was second. The B feature champ was Griswold's JC Wyman, ahead of Sioux City's Cody Thompson.

Saturday was Hall of Fame Night and Kids Night, presented by D&B Agro. Dais won the USRA Modifieds feature competition ahead of Jadin Fuller from Memphis, Mo.

In the USRA Stock Cars feature, Green was first. Blairsburg's Ty Griffith was the USRA B-Mods champ, with Oliver Sackett of Pierson placing second.

Fort Dodge's Riley Crimmins topped Scott Dobel of Manly in the USRA Hobby Stocks feature. The Crown Vics A feature checkered flag was taken by Fort Dodge's Nate Hogan.

Fan Appreciation Night is next on the Hamilton County Speedway docket on Aug. 15. Pits open at 4 p.m., gates at 5, hot laps at 6:45 and racing at 7.
