JEWELL — The South Hamilton softball team has found some momentum here down the stretch to the regular season.

After picking up wins over Belmond-Klemme and Perry, the Hawks went 1-1 at their home tournament this past weekend. South Hamilton downed Iowa Falls-Alden, 5-1, after falling to Southeast Valley, 3-1.

Emma Lammers spun a five-hitter vs. Belmond-Klemme, striking out five with no earned runs allowed to secure the victory. She also had a double and drove in three runs.

Ellie Beaune and Claire Hewitt each added an RBI, as Beaune scored twice and had two hits. Allie Neuberger was 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

In an 8-7 victory over Perry, South Hamilton honored seniors Lillie Ammerman, Claire Hewitt and Ava Corbin. Lammers and Hewitt each had two RBI, as Lammers finished 4-for-4 with a home run and a double.

Emma Ammerman had two hits and both Adelyn Trask and Lillie Ammerman each drove in a run. Jillian Hesse picked up the win, striking out four.

Hewitt and Emma Ammerman each drove in two runs against Iowa Falls-Alden, as Dallace Oberender was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Beaune also scored twice with Hesse throwing a five-hitter and striking out five.

Beaune had two hits and stole three bases vs. Southeast Valley, as Hesse drove in Lillie Ammerman.

South Hamilton wraps up the regular season on Wednesday when they host Roland-Story before welcoming in South Hardin on Saturday for a Class 2A, Region 1 first round contest.
