Hawks topple Colfax-Mingo

JEWELL — The South Hamilton baseball team picked up a victory over Colfax-Mingo this past week before a tough loss to Perry on Senior Night.
The Hawks downed Colfax-Mingo on the road, 7-6, but were bested by the same score to Perry.
Garrett Johnson was 2-for-3, scoring three runs and driving in another. Sam Koehnk had two RBI with a double, as Brody Harris drove in a run.
Johnson also pitched five innings, striking out five without allowing an earned run.
Liam Ealy had two hits with an RBI vs. Perry, as Johnson and Kash Northrop also drove in runs. Holden Moore scored twice and Titus Herrick had two steals.
South Hamilton squares off with Ogden on Friday in a Class 2A, Substate 2 contest in Ogden.
