Racing begins in Hamilton County

Racing action will hit the Hamilton County Speedway dirt track this Saturday night, as five different classes compete for prize money.

Due to the USMTS rainout, track officials have put together a night of racing for just $10 for adult admission with kids 11-and-under being free.

Racing will take place in the USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and Crown Vic classes. All racers are welcome to come and compete on the half-mile semi-banked oval.

Pit gate will open at 4 p.m., grandstands an hour later and hot laps at 6:40 p.m. Racers will take to the track at 7 p.m.

Inclement weather caused officials to cancel the planned USRA Iron Man Series event that was scheduled for earlier this month.

Other racing nights are scheduled for May 16, May 30, June 20, June 27, July 11, July 22-26, Aug. 22, Aug. 29, Oct. 9-10 and Oct. 24.

Starting at $3.46/week.
