ALGONA — The Webster City girls track and field team scored 12 individual Top-8 finishes here Tuesday night at the Hannover Relays hosted by Algona.
The Lynx tied for sixth overall with Bishop Garrigan, as Clear Lake was first followed by the Bulldogs and Lake Mills.

The 4×200 relay of Tristyn Wright, Kali Hartnett, Isabel Weinschenk and Quinn Ruba finished second for Webster City with a time of 1:56.35.
“It was a beautiful night to run, which helped us to compete away with several personal records and bests this season,” WCHS head coach Tyler Mosbach said. “Although we did not load up for this meet, the team shattered my expectations and I could not be more proud of their effort.
“There are still some things to clean up, but I like the direction we are headed. If the team can continue to improve, it will be a fun finish to the year.”
Briley VanDeer turned in a third place performance in the 100 hurdles, finishing in 17.86. VanDeer, Weinschenk, Hartnett and Tessa Hansen were fourth in the shuttle hurdle relay in 1:13.81.
Avery Poppen was sixth in the discus (100-11), as was Hansen in the 400 (1:04.94).
Amanda Lahr (shot put), Jakaela Cherry (discus) and Jaylyn Bahrenfuss (high jump) all turned in sevenths. Cherry was also eighth in the discus, as was Tristyn Wright in the 100.
Poppen won the junior varsity shot put.
