Hartnett falls short in state bid

NEVADA — The Webster City girls wrestling team took part in a Class 2A regional tournament here this past Friday night.

Kali Hartnett reached the championship round at 120 pounds, falling to Piper Zamastil of Cedar Rapids-Prairie. In a match to advance to state by placing second, Hartnett was bested at the hands of Olivia Hallam of Cedar Rapids Kennedy.

Ariana Wilson placed fourth for the Lynx at 130 pounds, going 2-2 on the day.

Madison Culver picked up a decision at 125 and Kate Feltz earned a pin at 135 for Webster City.
