The Webster City boys basketball squad dropped a 43-38 decision to North Central Conference foe Clarion-Goldfield/Dows last Friday night.
Coming off a tough loss to second-ranked (Class 3A) Clear Lake on the road, the Lynx were unable to slow Chaz Lane and Huxley Lingenfelter down. The C-G/D duo combined for 30 of the 43 points scored by the Cowboys in the victory.
C-G/D improved to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the NCC with the victory.
Webster City returns to action on Monday when they head to South Central Calhoun for a game rescheduled from December.
Tip is set for 7:45 p.m.
The Lynx, who are now 2-4 overall and 1-3 in the NCC, follow that up with the first of three straight at home, hosting Southeast Valley on Tuesday and top-ranked (1A) St. Edmond on Friday before welcoming North Polk on Monday.
