The Webster City boys dropped a pair of games to start a busy week, falling on Monday to North Polk before losing to Hampton-Dumont/CAL on Tuesday night.

The Lynx (2-10 overall) battled back at home vs. the Comets (7-7) before coming up short, 48-37.

Alex Staley had 12 points to pace Webster City. Jaxon Griffith pulled down seven rebounds, and Grant Arends blocked four shots.

In a back-and-forth road affair at Hampton, Webster City lost to the Bulldogs (5-6) by a score of 58-50. Coyce Bertran and Griffith led the way with 12 points a piece. Arends added seven rebounds and three steals. Staley dished out four assists and contributed three steals.

Webster City next hosts Humboldt on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
