Rams hold off Hawks

The South Hamilton boys capped off a tough week with a 53-40 setback to Greene County this past Friday night.

After taking an early lead, the Hawks were unable to hold off the Rams, as several starters fouled out during the contest.

Sam Koehnk had a big night, scoring 21 points to lead South Hamilton. Luke Martensen added seven and both Benjamin Swenson and King Brown each scored four.

“Very proud of the boys,” South Hamilton head coach Jay Heeren said. “They are working harder and harder each day. The effort and attitude has been very good. Now, we just need to keep teaching them.”

The Hawks lost to No. 1 (1A) St. Edmond last Thursday night, 70-26. Brown scored nine points and both Koehnk and Martensen each added five.

South Hamilton plays two more at home this week, hosting Southeast Valley Monday and Nevada Friday.

Starting at $3.46/week.
