Lynx girls hampered by 2nd-quarter drought
HAMPTON — The Webster City girls dropped their second straight North Central Conference game here Tuesday night, falling to Hampton-Dumont/CAL by a final of 41-25.
Evie Davis had 12 points with nine rebounds to pace the Lynx (5-8 overall). Lovie Pruismann recorded six rebounds with three assists.
Jaylyn Bahrenfuss had four rebounds, and Tristyn Wright dished out three assists.
After taking a 10-7 lead at the end of the first, Webster City was outscored by the Bulldogs (4-9) in the second, 14-2. Hampton-Dumont continued to add to its lead, going on a 20-13 run to end the contest.
Alivia Burns, Wright, Pruismann, Isabel Weinschenk, Ashlee Nydegger and Avery Poppen all added two points each for the Lynx, who host Humboldt on Friday night with a 6 p.m. tip.
