Lynx boys can’t slow sizzling Jags

The Webster City boys were unable to get on track here Tuesday night, falling in non-conference action to Southeast Valley, 66-45.
Sophomore Will Ruby had a big game for the Lynx, scoring a team-high 16 points. Alex Staley followed with 12 and Jaxon Griffith chipped in nine.
Coyce Bertran added six points for Webster City, which is now 2-7 with five straight setbacks in the last week.
Cornell Lowery had a game-high 18 to pace the Jaguars (9-1). Ian Brunner added 15.
Up next for the Lynx will be top-ranked (Class 1A) St. Edmond back here on Friday. The Gaels are 8-1 overall and in second place in the North Central Confertence behind No. 2 (3A) Clear Lake.
