The Webster City wrestling team took part in the Allie Morrison Duals in Marshalltown this past Saturday.

The Lynx dropped a close 42-37 decision to Sioux City East, along with falling in duals to Johnston, the host Bobcats, Cedar Falls and Bondurant-Farrar.

Cody Elliott finished a perfect 5-0 on the day, as Gavin Wynkoop went 4-1. Andrew Vaughn and Eli Estlund each won three matches, Angel Ramirez and Lincoln Brookshire won two each, and Tariq Burton and Ridge Berninghaus each won once.

The Lynx went 1-1 in North Central Conference action this past Thursday in Algona, besting St. Edmond (61-9) and falling to the Bulldogs (70-11).

Ramirez and Brookshire both went unbeaten, as Brookshire picked up two falls and Ramirez one.

Vaughn, Peyton Weisberg, Ty Bingham, Burton, Sidney Walker, Berninghaus, Briggs Peppel, Estlund and Elliott all added a win each. Vaughn and Weisberg scored pins while Bingham and Burton had technical falls.
