Webster City back at home to face Sioux Center

The Webster City football team returns home off a big win, hosting Sioux Center here Friday night from Lynx Field.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Webster City (2-3 overall, 1-0 in Class 3A, District 1) scored a 21-14 victory over rival Humboldt last Friday on the road, snapping a three-game losing skid in the process.
Senior Jaxon Griffith scored all three touchdowns, rushing for 123 yards. Israel Torres was a perfect 3-for-3 on extra-point attempts.
Aiden Hrnicek added 68 yards rushing, and Kaleb Hansen recorded 59 as part of a 247-yard performance vs. the Wildcats. Hrnicek, who completed two passes as the spin back, also had two tackles for loss on defense.
On the year, Griffith has a team-leading 421 yards rushing, scoring six total touchdowns. He has also recorded 24.5 tackles on defense with an interception.
Sioux Center (4-1, 0-1) is led by Ezra Hibma and Joseph Molina. The Warriors had a four-game winning streak snapped by ranked Bishop Heelan last week, 28-15.
Hibma, a junior, has completed 48 of 86 for 808 yards with 11 touchdowns, adding 200 yards rushing and two scores. Molina has 318 yards rushing, 158 yards receiving and six total TDs, as Braedon Perez-Hietbrink has caught nine passes for 271 yards.
