PERRY — The South Hamilton cross country team was in action here last Thursday at the Leon Fox Invitational hosted by Perry.

Jackson Olmstead led the way, placing sixth for the Hawks in a time of 19:30. Jesus Garcia was 11th as Hayden Hill finished 31st overall.

For the South Hamilton girls, Olivia Beaune placed 26th, Cici Herrick was 33rd, Kayley Zanker finished 46th and Isabel Swenson was 48th.

“Olivia ran strong through the first two miles, unfortunately, some hip issues had her hurting in the last mile,” South Hamilton head coach Emily Bochmann said. “Cici was 25 seconds off her best run on a tougher course, and Kayley had a great night.”

South Hamilton will host the Jim Klein Invitational on Thursday.
